 Athletes are certainly no strangers to injury. Bumps, bruises, sprains, and concussions are all part of the territory that comes along with competition. But while a football or soccer coach may be able to substitute a reserve for an injured starter, coaches in the cheerleading world simply don’t have that luxury. As Harrison found out this weekend, some last-minute bad news can alter – and sometimes cancel – a performance.

They might have even lost 121 games and unseated the Mets for “worst in history.” |
